Claire - Salon Director

I get up at… 7am. Although my alarm goes off at 6:45 - I need 15 mins to “come round!”

My breakfast is… Porridge in Winter and Shreddies in Summer.

My work wardrobe consists of… Black clothes! Black dresses, black tops, black trousers, black skirts, black jackets…..very easy to mix and match and always looks smart.

My job entails… Each day is different and throws up lots of varied tasks, plus looking after 5 Salon Managers and their Teams. I cover recruitment for all salons and im passionate about ensuring the well-being of all staff members. Promoting the business and keeping standards high. Making daily decisions and coming up with new ideas to ensure the success of the business. My favourite task is helping to organise the Awards Evening & Party!

How I got here… My background for 17 years was in travel but after living in India for 2 years, on return I wanted to try something different. I became a part time Receptionist in Bradley Stoke, then helped to oversee other salons and progressed from there.

The best piece of advice I was given… Look after your staff and your staff will look after the customers. And, to value peoples differences.

Best part of my working day I love to chat so chatting with staff and customers - I just love it!

After work I… Spend time with family and friends, try to keep fit and squeeze a pub visit in at weekends.
