In this exciting and fulfilling role as Functional Skills / Pastoral Care Tutor you will:

Deliver training to young people in Maths and English, supporting their individual needs and skills development.
Plan and conduct small group and one-to-one sessions with creativity and confidence.
Assess and monitor learner progress and performance, keeping records up to date.
Schedule workplace visits and assessments, ensuring the quality of training aligns with the Academy’s vision.
Work closely with learners and employers to support personal and social development.
Maintain high-quality training standards and stay current with awarding body standards.
Maintain excellent communication and presentation skills.

To excel in this role you will:

Have relevant teaching qualification or sufficient experience.
Excellent communication skills, be approachable, able to initiate ideas and support learners where there are personal barriers to learning
Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
Have good organisational skills.
Be flexible and able to inspire and motivate learners.
Experience in SEN, EHCP, and learning support preferred but not essential.
Driving license and access to own vehicle (preferred but not essential)
